Revival Rum

The brief

James Singlehurst, a farmer turned master distiller, faced a career shift when COVID-19 lockdowns disrupted his usual work routine in 2020. With over two decades of interest in distillation, he delved into research during 2020. Utilising redundant buildings on his farm, James established a distillery, providing full-time employment to workers on the farm that hadn’t had much work over the winter. The Revival Rum distillery is in the Northamptonshire countryside. It is here where they meticulously craft their spirits using a traditional copper, Caribbean- style, double retort still. Securing his distiller's license on July 8, 2022, James's wife, Julie, coined the name "Revival Rum." Symbolising resilience and recovery with its Phoenix logo. Projected to grow over the next 4 years, it seems that rum is now being revived, set to make Revival Rum, namesake of a pioneering movement.

The approach

Revival Rum initially approached us as they were having difficulties sourcing bespoke-made ROPP closures for their bottles they had ordered elsewhere. Offering a signature look to their bottles that would appeal to the growing rum market. A staple of their recovery and resilience namesake.

For this brief, we approached Revival Rum with our bespoke ROPP caps. There was an initial issue with the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) of 50 000 pcs being too high for their needs, however with some flexibility we were able to reduce this to 30 000 pcs. With this lower MOQ the turnaround time was quick, and the caps were with Revival Rum in no time at all.

The result

The rum industry is projected to grow in the next 4 years and with Revival Rum front and centre it is an exciting time for them too. Their namesake signifying the recovery and resilience of the phoenix the company has proven yet again that they are here to stay.

With the release of Revival Rum’s 5cl bottle becoming a smash hit they are now looking into aged rum and spiced rum options. The future looks bright for Revival Rum, and we are excited to provide more packaging in future.

Rawlings were able to match and exceed our expectations. Their flexibility and commitment to excellence made the experience of working together a breeze. They were able to take care of all our needs and concerns, we are very pleased with the service provided.
