We have recently been introduced to the fantastic team at The MAZI Project and the hard work they do, empowering Bristol’s disadvantaged young people through food.
After receiving an email asking if we would like to participate by donating some of our products to help them provide young people with nutritious and sustainable food and learning more about the work they do, we were beyond happy to help and donate stock.
Working alongside Bristol’s independent food sector, local communities, and charities, The MAZI Project work to create a safe environment for vulnerable young people to feel the benefits and power of good food. They do this by giving these young people the skills, knowledge, and ingredients to live a healthy life.
The ability to have access to fresh and nutritious food should be a choice that a person makes, not society, which is why The MAZI Project has worked hard to allow young people to have this choice.
Alongside providing fresh and sustainable ingredients, the team at The MAZI Project have also made a conscious effort to support and work alongside local businesses around Bristol. By forming a community, it can create a lasting change for those in need.
One of their recent projects includes new meal boxes that are delivered across Bristol. These include:
- Up to three recipes
- Ingredients
- Sweet and savoury treats
- The MAZI Project welcome pack
- Informative leaflet on nutrition
This is where our glass jars and bottles will help, and we are thrilled they can be put to such good use. From fresh sauces, and chutneys to preserves, our bottles and jars will be used to help safely store and supply nutritious flavours to many people.
As you can imagine providing this sort of support means some costs are higher. This is where the help from the community and donations make a big difference in allowing the team to continue making a difference and continue their hard work.
At Rawlings, we are always looking for new ways to support the businesses around us, especially those with similar values. Therefore, we were honoured for The MAZI Project to approach us, and we can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves next.
